In 2020, Bewley’s Cafe Theatre instigated a new development initiative for playwrights called PERCOLATE. Our ambition is to raise the level of discussion and engagement with dramatic writing in Ireland and to be a resource for the wider theatre community. After an open call we selected seven writers to receive ongoing support over an extended period of time (two years) from a panel of artistic advisors with a variety of experience and expertise.
Percolate Readings is a showcase presentation of the plays developed in that time, offering script-in-hand readings of excerpts of the work.
Percolate Playwrights: Terri Donovan, Oisín Kearney & Michael Patrick, Jennifer Laverty, Katie McCann, Megan McDonnell and Madi O'Carroll.
Percolate Panel: Brenna Clarke, Veronica Coburn, Jeda De Bri, Caitríona Ní Mhurchú, Eugene O'Brien, Daniel Reardon
