How to Book

Dublin Theatre Festival 2023 runs from 28 September – 15 October.

Group Bookings
If you're thinking of joining us as part of a group we'd love to hear from you! Throughout the past six decades we have welcomed artists and audiences from all over the world and this year is no different. Concessions & Discounts

Concessions
It is important for us to reach as wide an audience as possible with the work we stage each year. To facilitate access to festival events we offer a range of discounts and booking options across selected performances.

10 for 10

As part of our commitment to making the festival as accessible as possible, 10% of tickets for selected festival productions will be available for €10 to under 30s, unwaged, freelance artists and arts workers.


Concession Tickets
Discounts are available for senior citizens, Actors’ Equity, unwaged, and full-time students with a valid ID. These concession tickets can be booked by phone or online. You may be required to produce proof of eligibility on arrival at the performance.

Group Discounts

Final Call
During the festival, our standby scheme offers a limited number of €10 tickets for selected shows on the day of the performance. Tickets can be purchased in person or by phone from 3pm - 5pm at the festival box office, on a first-come, first-served basis. Final Call tickets are announced daily on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram during the festival.


All sales for digital and online work are final. We have a policy of no refunds or exchanges on the purchase of these tickets.

Please note that all admission regulations and safety measures will be adhered to, based on the Government guidance at the time of the performance not at the time of ticket purchase.

Your safety, and the safety of artists, venue teams and festival staff is our first priority. We are constantly monitoring and updating our policies in line with government guidelines and in conjunction with our partner venues.

    • To reduce the risk of infection, tickets will be refunded up to 24 hours in advance if a patron feels unwell or is experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 as described on the HSE website. Please inform us at the earliest possible time to allow us to try to resell your ticket.
    • To minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19, Dublin Theatre Festival will not be issuing our standard paper ticket. Your booking confirmation will be followed by an email with PDF ticket(s) attached. E-ticket(s) can be displayed on your smartphone or pre-printed at home.
    • Before attending the performance, you will be sent a preshow email with performance and venue specific information. Please read this carefully to ensure you know what to expect when you attend and follow the guidance you are given.
    • In the event of the cancellation of a performance, you will be notified at the earliest possible opportunity and offered a full refund.
    • Please ensure your contact number and email address are correctly entered and up to date at time of booking. They will be used to facilitate contact tracing by the relevant authorities in the event of a confirmed case.
    • Booking fees are charged at €1.50 per ticket, helping to cover the cost of our box office. These fees are not charged on concession priced tickets. Friends of the Festival are exempt from booking fees.
    • Please arrive at the time stated in your pre-show email, latecomers cannot be admitted and refunds will not be given.
    • Recording equipment of any kind is not permitted, please switch off mobile phones on entry to the auditorium.
    • Management reserves the right to change the cast of performances in the event of unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
    • Sales of Gift Vouchers and Gift Memberships are final.
    • Gift vouchers are valid for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
    • The voucher may be redeemed or spent online, or by contacting our box office.
    • The value can be added to any customer account, but once credited, can only be used with that account.
    • They can be used against all purchases through our box office including tickets, memberships, donations, and booking fees (where applicable).
    • Please note that our gift vouchers can only be spent on transactions via Dublin Theatre Festival’s box office and cannot be used to purchase tickets in venue box offices.
    • Gift vouchers can be used across multiple purchases and any remaining balance will remain on your customer account until it’s expiry or until the full value has been reached.
    • If the value of your order is greater than your account credit balance, please apply your account credit first and you will be given the option to make an additional payment using an alternative method on the remainder.
    • Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash in part or whole.
    • Once credited, you can check your account balance by logging into your account at dublintheatrefestival.ie and clicking on the ‘Account Credit’ tab.
    • Once redeemed, gift memberships are valid for the year of purchase and all membership prices will remain valid for the year the membership has been purchased. If you chose not to redeem your gift membership in the relevant year, you may be liable to pay the difference if membership prices increase.

    Friend Memberships

    • All sales of Friend memberships are final
    • Memberships and their associated benefits are valid for the Festival year of purchase
    • Monthly memberships are sold on a 12 month subscription basis and payments must continue to be made until the full value of the membership has been paid
